Students decide which subject they intend to pass at 'O' Level. In making the choice, students are well advised to take into account the wishes of their employer, or the requirements of the career they intend to follow. English and Mathematics are subjects that are general and essential for most careers. Students can enter either examination on a single subject basis. Both examining bodies will give students a certificate showing in which subjects they have gained a pass mark at a particular examination and students can therefore accumulate these until they have achieved the number they set as their target. The subjects shown below are available from the College: University of Cambridge: Zimbabwe Syllabi: 1122 English Language 3159 Shona 4008/4028 Mathematics 5006 Science 5007 Extended Science 2248 Geography 2042 Religious Studies (Syllabus A) 7112 Principles of Accounts 2283 Economics 7103 Commerce 7049 Technical Graphics 2013 Literature in English* International Syllabi: 2158 History - World Affairs Since 1919 2251 Sociology 5096 Human and Social Biology 7115 Business Studies 2291 Law 4040 Statistics An enrolment will be accepted for Science (5006) as a single subject or for Science (5006) and Extended Science (5007) as two subjects.
